After obtaining his Chartered Accountant designation in 1965, George had a 27-year career as corporate financial officer in the agricultural and recreation industries. He became a personal financial planner in 1995, earned his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 1998, and now has built up a significant mutual fund client base. He has an accounting practice, which includes personal income tax return preparation and some accounting services.
His love of music has led George to being a church organist for 57 years and a community band musician for 54 years, currently a trombonist with the Oakville Wind Orchestra. He also spent 5 summers mountaineering in the Canadian Rockies and Europe, and still enjoys hiking.
George’s personal life is shared with his wife Jeanne, three adult children and their families, including four grandchildren.
